“Teaching governance today, growing leaders for tomorrow”
Welcome on the website of the Olivaint Conference of Belgium, an independent leadership organisation whose aim is to provide extra-curricular education on governance issues to graduate students of Belgian universities and professional schools. Its overall objective is to prepare young adults for the exercise of professional responsibilities at the highest level while keeping a genuine concern for the public policy implications thereof.
Since more than 50 years, the education provided by the Olivaint Conference is based on values of pluralism, multidisciplinary and multilingualism. Since it is open to students from all over Belgium, it uses both Dutch and French as working languages. Taking part in the activities of the Olivaint Conference therefore require a good command of these two languages, together with a real motivation to participate in its different activities: bimonthly thematic workshops, written journalism exercises, participation in an annual eloquence contest, not to forget the yearly study session during summer time.
For the organization of its activities, the Olivaint Conference relies on a network of more than 1100 alumni whose continuous support enables it to welcome new generations of students and offer them a training of high quality. Indeed, the Olivaint Conference is also the source of lasting memories and strong friendships tying together the students who then meet every now and then at the alumni events.
